Hi, I'm Katie.

Whether you’ve been to therapy many times before or this is your first time, finding a therapist and initiating therapy can feel overwhelming and scary. My hope is to make this process a bit less daunting and to make this a friendly and compassionate space so that every step -- browsing websites, booking a consultation, and meeting for a first session -- feels more approachable. I also aim to bring as much of my own humanity to my work and to not be a ‘blank slate’ therapist. So, a bit about me: I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I love making things (mostly knitting and sewing), I enjoy skiing, traveling, being outside sometimes, and being cozy on a couch other times. Going to therapy has, and continues to be, an invaluable part of how I care for myself, and it is an honor to be able to now hold that space for others.

We are relational beings and I believe that what has been harmed in relationship has to be healed in relationship. I trust you to know what is best for yourself and strive to help you hear and trust yourself. I am a white, straight sized, currently able-bodied, cis-gender woman, and these privileged identities mean I will not be the correct provider for every client. It is important to have a provider who makes you feel safe and understood and if I am not the right fit for any reason I am happy to provide referrals to help you find what you need.

I take a collaborative approach to therapy and nutrition counseling and work from a trauma-informed and weight-inclusive lens. I draw from many modalities in my work including Internal Family Systems and Psychodynamic Therapy, as well as Body Trust®, Health at Every Size®, and Intuitive Eating. My goal is to help you build a trusting, respectful, and compassionate relationship with yourself as you navigate your path to healing.
